The Loss of B ~

It is with great sadness that I write that we lost our precious dog, B ~

He was a really one of a kind... a very unique dog and he stole the hearts of everybody that met him. He had a wonderful life and was almost 12 years old. I was privileged to be his owner. I just don't know how to express what he meant to me and my family. He was the best friend I will forever associate with my children's childhood. As a stay at home mom, he was my constant companion. It is a loss beyond compare. In the end, he was surrounded by my two kids, my husband and myself.. and for that I am grateful.

RIP my sweet friend...

Oh Marcy I am so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to lose a family pet...they are so near and dear to us...they're family! Thinking of you!

My heart is with you. I have two dogs, lost one a few years back, have mourned him, cats and all the angels God has given us. I know exactly what your expressing, they are a part of our family. People who don't have dogs don't understand how in tune they are with us in mind and spirit. I truly believe they are angels sent from heaven to grieve with us, rejoice with us and be our steadfast loyal friends. I shall pray that as Jesus embraces him in heaven and he is with all the other angels (I know my dog is in heaven) that you may feel peace and his love even stronger now that he is with God.
So sorry.

I'm sorry for your loss, Marcy. I know how you are feeling. We had a dog that we had gotten before we had kids and our kids grew up with her. She died a month before her 12th birthday. I was also a stay-at-home Mom at the time and I was always talking to her. She would follow me around inside and outside of the house with whatever I was doing.

We are so sorry for your loss. I have one that looks so much like yours. I agree, they are the best dogs, and I have had several different breeds. Best Wishes to you and your family during your time of grief.

I am SO SORRY for your loss!! It's never a good time for a pet to pass away, but here at the holidays it's even harder. Our last dog passed away on New Year's Day. Just so sad. I'm sure he will live in your heart forever.

I understand your pain Marcy, we lost our Lab "Augie" several years ago and we still miss her although we have Jake and Molly she will hold a special place in our hearts as others before her. It's a special bond we have with them isn't it? So sorry to hear this but just know what a good home he had with you and was so loved

Oh Marcy, your precious B is gone.Such a sad time. Keep talking about him with your children. Remember all the good times.Weren't they good? That baby dog gave so much without knowing that he gave at all. What a lesson for us to learn. God bless you and your family.

Oh Marcy, I don't know how I missed this post but when I read the title I had a hard time continuing. I am so so sorry about your precious B. Oh my goodness, I can relate so much, we lost our beloved family dog the month before Patrick left for college and her loss was devastating. Like B, we got Sierra when the boys were little and she represented a whole era in our lives. She was simply family. We all adored her sweet, soulful ways and it sounds like B was similar. What a precious face B had with those gray whiskers. I loved that last family picture. Please know the every day it will get a little better but the real turning point for us was getting Stella. I insisted on waiting a few months even though the boys wanted a dog pretty quickly. I wasn't ready...but in the end there was nothing more healing and more delightful than a sweet puppy. sending you my condolences and positive thoughts,
Leslie

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Marcy. She looked like such a sweet dog. I know it's so hard to lose a pet. Good friends of ours in Austin are very involved in the golden retriever rescue organization -- they own 4 dogs themselves -- and they lost two dogs to cancer in the past few years. They go everywhere with their dogs (and I do mean everywhere) so they had a hard time coping. My husband's 16 year old Husky died about 2 years ago (well before I started my blog), and we still miss her. Sending you positive thoughts for time and healing.

I'm so sad to hear of your great loss...I lost my sweet Bo, a 12 year old yellow lab, last year...I understand how you feel, and know that you will always miss him, but, you will one day be able to talk and laugh about his wonderful ways without crying - you will enjoy all the memories. Remember most of all what a wonderful life you gave him - all the love and devotion that you and your family showed to him - I know you got it back from him too....

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have two sweet baby dogs who are old, have terminal cancer, are deaf, and the little doxie is blind. They are so amazing though. Even with their disabilities, they exhibit such tenacity. When my little blind baby is happy, she runs and leaps as if she can see where she is going. They live in the present at all times never regretting what was nor fretting or worrying over what is to come. We need to learn from these little four legged wonders, don't you agree?

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much it hurts to lose a 4-legged, furry child. You will forever have memories and pictures in your mind about him. I just posted about the year anniversary yesterday, of the loss of my 4 1/2 yr old Benny.
