Out of Space ~

People have been telling me for some time now that my house is filling up...
looking rather full....

But that's not the type of "space" I want to address today...

When I was writing my post today, I was uploading 68 photos...
Well, Blogger didn't like that
and promptly told me

I have NO MORE SPACE available....

So, pardon the silence while I try to figure out exactly what that means
and how I am supposed to correct it...

I would love to hear your advice!!

You will have to buy more space to show photos. They should tell you where to go. Can't remember. It's cheap they just should tell us ahead of time. I had that happen too.

Hi, That just happened to me.Go to your account on your blog, and you can buy more space. $5.00. Have your credit card.It takes about 24 hours before you can load your pictures.

What the?! I guess they figured out a way to charge for a "free" blog. Figures.....
Hurry up tho - I wanna see your photos :)

It is five dollars and you get a whole lot more space. Do not delete any photos as they may disappear from your blog.

It happened to me in January. Basically blogger uses picaso as an in between to store you photos. You have to buy more space. There is no way around it. $5.00 is the cheapest plan and I haven't used it all up yet. I hope that will last me one year.

Oh, Dear One, this has happened to me too! You will have to buy some more space and you can continue on. For the life of me I can't remember where. Maybe you can go to your dashboard and to the Blogger helps and it will tell you.
We NEED your snaps! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I think that's surely happened to me at least once. I upload LOTS of photos. Like they say above: DO NOT delete pics. It takes them off your blog.

Blogger uses Picasa to store your photos and they give you 1024 MB (1 GB) free storage space with your blog. You can buy 20 GB more storage for $5.00. If you sign into your Picasa web album at picasaweb.google.com it will tell you at the bottom of your page how much you have used of that 1024 MB. And right beside that it there is a link to "Upgrade Storage". I check mine every so often so that I can pay for more before I reach my free limit. So thanks for reminding me to check again!

Hi there, I haven't had this happen to me yet but I know many who have. Blogger only allows for you to store so many photos for free. Once you've used up your allotted space you can either pay Blogger for more or find another service to store your photos, such as Flickr.

Did not know that could happen. Good luck and can't wait to see the pictures.

Hi there! That happened to me too but I didn't end up needing to buy anymore space. I accidently came upon a different way to upload and it's worked so far. It's also faster and easier. I upload while in Picasa. Maybe that's how you're supposed to do it anyway but I've just been learning on my own as I go. If you want to know how I do it I'll go back in to Picasa and write down the steps so I can explain better. I apologize for not sounding very intelligent explaining it but I'm not very computer savvy! Ha-ha!

Hi Marcy.

Whew, you really scared me there for a bit.
I thought HOW can the ANTIQUECHASE girl run out of space for another antique?

WHAT would she chase if she had no space????

So relieved to hear it was just your computer.
Whew. I can breathe again.

:)

Yes, I have heard about bloggers running out of photo space before and having to spend the $5.00 to get more. However, I've been blogging for almost 2 years and have published close to 200 posts. I would guess all of my posts have at least 3 photos (but usually a lot more)and according to Picasa, I've used less than 2% of my alotted 1 GB. It sort of baffles me how you could be out of space so soon...unless maybe your photos are really, really large???

happened to me too, right in the middle of trying to do a post...how annoying. You would think blogger could send you a notice before they yank the rug, so one could purchase the $5 space for more uploading.

Ok... now I am SOOO confused.. I have been blogging since 2007 and have not hit any limit.. perhaps since I reset my photos for Web viewing ( low res?)... but at least i now know what to do when it happens!

I bought more space and I believe it was from Picasa. Annoying, huh?

And as for space in your house...I think it is perfect! Fill her up till your heart is content!

Sorry about the lack of space. I never would have thought that cyber space would run out of space. I hope that you can get that resolved soon. I want to see more of your inspiring stuff, woman!
