Out My Window ~

While folding laundry,
I peeked out the window and saw this...

These birdies were singing and splashing...

It was such a joy to watch.

Do you have a bird bath in your yard?
Craigslist is a great place to find a chippy vintage one!!
Happy hunting!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Too sweet! It is like a scene from Mary Poppins :) I would love to get a birdbath, but I'm afraid it would make the birds into 'sitting ducks' for the neighborhood cats! You got some amazing finds in your last post, don't know how I missed that one. I'm envious of the wooden bread tray/box!

I don't have a birdbath, but after looking at these pics. I think I need one. We have hummingbird feeders. I could watch birds all day long! Happy Saturday!

I'm blessed to have a birdbath too. Unfortunately when it was staged in the front yard the vintage stone birds flew the coop in the middle of the night ): We especially enjoy watching the hummingbirds that frequent our courtyard.

Yes, I've had one that is heated for winter too. It sits outside my kitchen window so I can watch the birds while fixing meals etc. Mine isn't vintage it's made out of a plastic type of material. But the birds love it. Yours is very cute.

Beautiful post! We have several birdbaths around our yard and gardens. Some chippy and concrete and one old rusty one. There is also a tiny birdbath they enjoy.

What a cute sight seeing the birds splashing and playing. We do have a birdbath fountain and the squirrels love playing in it too.

I have a fountain that is gentle enough the humming birds will sit near the top and drink and take baths. I also get the big black and brown birds that sit on top and squawk. The humming birds fly around it in the morning just waiting for it to be turned on(not that they know that). I feel so bad if I forget to turn it on for a whole day.

So sweet! Yes, I do have an imporvised birdbath, and try to keep it fresh and the birds fed throughout the winter, too.So rewarding-amazing birds appeared last winter- it was so cold here, we were snowed in.

I used to have a bird feeder there but it got broke in the last storm we had... I was so bummed! Have a great weekend :o)

I smiled when I read this post. Just yesterday I looked out my window to view my birdbath full of little wrens frolicking in the water. It was such a busy group. Birds are great fun to watch! ~ sarah

We've been looking for one for a long time. The new ones are just too expensive. I love watching birds. To think of one living it's life in a cage gives me great sorrow. I even have two vintage cages for decorations and I get sick just looking at them now. I think it's time they went. ~Ames

I have one and the birds don't use it. I think they prefer our pond.

What a bonus to catch those cuties enjoying your bird bath! The photos are fab. I do have a bird bath and can spend hours watching the little ones doing their thing ~ whether it be stopping in for a drink or having a full on bath!

Yes, we have a birdbath. Sometimes the bluejays bathe in it, sometimes my cat drinks out of it. Usually not at the same time.

yes i finally found a vintage b-bath reminded me of my grandparents and i loved watching them bathe and follic around....i since cleaned it up good and put away due to the freezing winters we get. For any of you that would like a nice birdbath (not concret) Agway had such beautiful ones that were very very cheap i think less then 25 bucks and could be out all winter....i am actually headed there monday to see if they still have some.

I've got two - one that was my Grandmother's so it's probably 60 years old and then one that I bought a few years ago that I have broken three times and keep gluing it back together (Gorilla Glue does wonders). I love watching the birds play around in them. Don't like cleaning them though.

Don't have a birdbath, but love to watch the birds in our yard. When we have a heavy rain, we have a little stream going through our backyard and the birdies just love it!

How sweet! And yes. We do have a birdbath. It's one thing I love about our yard. Had to laugh at the little birdie sitting on the stone bird's head. Very cute.

aww, so sweet. I don't have a birdbath now but I did for years in my old garden. I also had a sweet water fountain, it was tall and was an old windmill. The little hummingbirds *loved* it and they would flit and splash around in it. The sweetness used to take my breath away! enjoy!

That is a pretty vintage birdbath. And now that the cold weather has set in we are getting vistors from up north. Stopping by on there way south for some feed and water in our garden before their long trip south for the winter. Thanks for sharing.....Julian

Too cute. I've been looking for a vintage birdbath but haven't come across any. The cement statuary "store" where I found my garden gnomes had quite a selection, although not vintage, some had been out in the weather for so long that they certainly looked it!

I installed a bird bath in my backyard this summer, here in the Las Vegas heat. I love to stand in the window and watch...wish I had yours - it's beautiful! Happy White Wednesday -

Seeing that would make my day too-we don't often take time in our busy world to just enjoy those things-I was driving the other day and thought about the birds and how they didn't need much-God provides it to them!

Hi Marcy- how are you? I love the bird bath and the sweet birds! But I really want to know where the Wednesday flea market is? and is it every Wednesday? I'd love to go sometime. I also want to hit the Rose Bowl soon.

So I guess we won't see each other on PClive anymore, not that I made it at all very often, too busy with works and the kids in school. I'll be sure to stop by your blog often to keep in touch!

Take care-
Kim
